BEREAVEMENT COUNSELING
Grief and bereavement care are essential components of hospice care. These services include anticipating grief reactions and providing counseling and support to family members throughout the patient’s illness and for 13 months after the patient’s death.

THERAPIES
Our physical therapists provide pain management and relief by positioning patients to help prevent pressure sores, lessen pain, prevent contractures, and improve breathing and digestion through therapeutic techniques. Our speech therapists consult patients, their families,
and members of the hospice team in the areas of communication, cognition, and swallowing function. Our occupational therapist identifies life roles and activities that provide meaning to our patients, and they work to address barriers that may exist when performing such activities of daily living.

DIETITIAN
Our dietitian addresses problems with eating such as poor appetite, nausea and weight loss to ensure the patient is able to enjoy their meals.

MEDICAL SOCIAL WORKER
Our medical social worker educates and assists patients by helping them understand their life circumstances and goals while connecting them with community resources.

PHYSICIAN SERVICES
Our hospice doctors approve patients for hospice
admission, oversee our hospice care team, and re-certifies patients for continued hospice care here at Ka-Dash. Our physicians are available to visit patients as needed and to consult with patients' personal doctors.

HOSPICE NURSE
Our hospice nurse collaborates with our team of healthcare providers and specialists to create a care plan for our patients. The nurse discusses and explains your prognosis, monitors breathing and vitals, provides education on administering medications, and performs wound care. Our nurses at Ka-Dash Hospice advocate for comfort and dignity. They educate and guide.

VOLUNTEER SERVICES
Our volunteers provide companionship and help care for the patient. Their help can range from light housekeeping, running errands, or direct patient care. They help by becoming a part of the patient’s support system, and they provide an opportunity for the family to rest.

PASTORAL COUNSELING
Our chaplain counseling services help patients and their families explore spiritual concerns and navigate the life changes that accompany the hospice experience.

HOSPICE AIDE
Our hospice aides assist patients with activities of daily living such as hygiene, bathing, meal preparation, walking, and mobility assistance.

EQUIPMENT & MEDICATIONS
We have partnered with a licensed pharmacist and durable and soft medical equipment companies to provide our patients with the resources to alleviate pain and create more comfort and ease while they are under our hospice care.
